The majority of them are basically “disposable” – not worth fixing. Though there are exceptions, the build quality of these saxophones is generally not good. When I taught saxophone lessons professionally, I had to deal with student saxophones that were literally falling apart, and that were not even made of brass in some cases. These are instruments made by people being paid as little as $1/day, often using the cheapest possible methods and materials.
